i just got my hands on acid 7. highly customizable.

see what im trying to do .......ok im a reason 4 fan/user.and the nnxt is like my fav device.im really nice with it.but it sucks for choppin and beat matching. for years ive been trying to find a solid solution.so i would use acid 4 to chop and get the bpm to where i wanted.but the feel of using hardware is great it like playing a instrament. then i would send it to recyle, then to reason. way to much work.so i started looking for a way to use a kontroler with a decent wave editor match every thing and send it to the nnxt.in fact one of the reasons i love reason is it feels real ya know.Im starting to make some decent progress.mostly due to your postings on the forum and you tube. so just wanted to say thank you dude..

ps you should make your company motto

nativekontrol.com because they always forget something

Lmao….that motto definitely would be true. Have you ever tried using Live? It’s pretty good for chopping IMO. You can autochop into a drum rack easily. And you can also manually chop right in the session view.

You can set the tempo before you do the chopping.

For example, load a sample onto a track and set the tempo. Right-click on the sample and select Slice to MIDI. That will give you some different slice options.

Forgot to mention that after setting the tempo, you have to resample. A quick way to do that is to freeze the track. Then grab the sample and drag it to a new track. Then delete the frozen track.

It takes a little while to get used to, but Live is definitely a great app and it keeps getting better and better.
