If you wanted to access mode selection directly from the APC then, yes, it would make more sense to customize the APC script you’re using.
FWIW though, to customize ClyphX for this, you’d need to make changes to the ClyphXControlSurfaceActions.py file. In particular, you’d need to change the connect_script_instances function (where you’ll connect to the script and its mode selection component(s)) and the dispatch_cs_action function (where you’ll set up a function that will be performed when the appropriate action name is received).
Hi. Is there any way to launch the actual entire scene below the currently selected clip? In other words, can I launch the *next* scene?
I tried "[BLAH] DOWN ; SCENE SEL" and it does launch all clips in the row below, but it doesn't actually launch the scene-- I often rename my scenes a specific BPM and am trying to utilize Live's shortcut of auto-setting the master tempo to the "XXXbpm" as specified in the scene name.
The manual does explain it is the clips, not the scene itself, that is launched using the Clyphx command SCENE, so I understand that.
I am wondering if there is a work-around, or other solution I have overlooked that would enable me to equivalently launch all clips in the in the scene in the next row and also have the master tempo set automatically.
Thank you again for making the magic of Clyphx possible!
i was interested is it possible to change script so it would act as a previous versions when using sel/clip notes velo >16 and alike.
what i mean is, in ClyphX 1.x if you had a bunch of notes selected in midi editor and used velo cmd, the command itself applied actions only to selected notes, leaving the rest intact. in 2.x now, it deselects notes and operates on every note of the clip.
Welcome to the forum. For the sake of clarity, the Note Actions apply to the notes that fall within the start/end or loop start/end markers of the clip. This has been the case since they were added in v1.0.2. I’ll look into adding an option for operating on the selected notes.
Out of curiosity though, which version were you using that you found that the Note Actions were applied to selected notes?

Hi stray and all. [since i am new here i hope i am posting at the right place (sorry if not)] i use Mainstage as an external instrument and live as a midi clip manager (no rewire), i am looking for a way to send CCs from Live. ( In my case so, i could ask Live to change Mainstage patches. ) can ClyphX send CCs or do you plan to implement that if not? Thanks for helping and doing those good scripts...
Welcome to the forum. Yes, ClyphX includes a component called Macrobat that adds new functions to racks and one of those functions is to have rack macros send MIDI messages (CCs, PCs and SysEx). There’s more info on this in the docs included with ClyphX.
first off your scripts are amazing i have been using your apc and nanolive scripts and love them i have ventured into trying clyphx but cant seem to get any action from them i have clyphx as a control surface any advice would be appreciated i am running 8.1.2
Good to hear the other presets/scripts are working well for you. ClyphX requires 8.1.5 or later. If you have trouble using it with 8.1.5 or later, please try the suggestions listed in the Troubleshooting section of the manual. I hope that helps.
Amazing! But I cant get it running... at all. Been trying everything I can think of. Is the included set supposed to have clips? Mine is empty. I must be missing something, but I'm stumped. 8.2.2...mac...installed correctly I think. Not sure what else to tell you, except I'm blown away by your work. Thanks for your help!!!
Welcome to the forum. No, the included Macrobat Rack Examples set just includes examples of Macrobat Racks, it doesn’t include any clips. It’s difficult to say what the trouble could be without more info. I’d suggest trying the steps listed in the Troubleshooting section of the manual as a first step. I hope that helps.
